In an ever-changing world, my values and commitment to you and Banff remain rock solid.

This short video from a previous election still says it all

Committing to the Future

Committing to Informed Change

Dedication   Vision    Experience

I have been working on your behalf as a Banff Town Councillor since 1994. Thank you so much for the support you have given me that has allowed me to do this interesting, rewarding and sometimes challenging work. With your continued support, I will bring this leadership experience back to the council table. I’ve served on various local, regional, provincial and national committees and boards. I pledge I will use my years of council experience to help our community in every possible
way. I was honoured to receive the King Charles III Coronation Medal in 2025 and a Distinguished Service Award from the Alberta Urban Municipalities Association in 2019.

We have a lot to balance: affordability; livability, welcoming millions of visitors into our home while maintaining quality of life for residents, financial sustainability, being a model environmental community, future planning and emergency preparedness.

My years of experience and leadership on council will enable me to work hard and effectively on your behalf.

“I approach my work as a councillor with a love for our town, a willingness to listen and learn, a respect for my colleagues and the goal of making our home the best it can me.”

Volunteer, Committee and Board Experience

I have served on, or been actively involved with, nearly every municipal committee and commission, and I am proud to have been past president of both the YWCA of Banff and Green Communities Canada. With the council’s support, I was elected to the Federation of Canadian Municipalities (FCM) as an Alberta representative. I concluded my 10 years with FCM as a member of their Executive Committee representing Alberta, Saskatchewan, Manitoba, Yukon, Northwest Territories and Nunavut. Our responsibilities included financial oversight of the $550 million green municipal funds. I also served on the Alberta Urban Municipalities Association committee dedicated to increasing women’s participation in municipal government.

Family

Banff has been my home for almost 50 years. My husband, Jim, and I married here.
Raising our three children was one of my greatest joys and learning experiences. Our
children are now my teachers and I get to see the future through their eyes. Couldn’t do
this without their support and love.

Love back to all of you – Jim, Jamie, Linda, Thomas and the grandbabies.
